Junior and Senior Wellness Plans

Wellness screening is an important part of keeping your pet healthy.  We recommend physical exams every 6 months, and a bloodwork evaluation once a year.  Think about it, pets age an average of 5 human years for every 1 year of their life.  Twice yearly visits for a pet would be equal to you going to your doctor once every 2-3 years.  A lot of changes can occur in that amount of time!  An exam every 6 months can help to prevent health problems as well as give you an opportunity to discuss other issues with the doctor, such as behavior or nutrition questions.

By age 2 our pets are already adults, and by age 7 most are considered seniors.  By screening our pets while they are young we can find and treat diseases early, before the pet shows clinical signs (vomiting, diarrhea, changes in eating/drinking patterns, gaining or losing weight, etc) and before the disease can become more serious.  Wellness screening can lengthen the life and improve the quality of your pet’s life.  Normal results on wellness screening are a great tool as a baseline for comparison of future test results.
