Hospital Manager, Lisa, at Wheaton Animal Hospital

Lisa
Hospital Manager

I joined the Animal Medical Clinic of Wheaton’s team in November of 2013 as the hospital manager; however, my career in veterinary medicine began in 1999. I started as a technician, and over the years, realized my draw toward management (although I still love the nursing aspect!) . I find exceptional gratification in building relationships both with our clients and our patients, & being a part of a team that shares the same dedication & love for animals as I do is also extremely rewarding. From an early age, I always knew that I was destined to be in the animal healthcare field and can’t imagine doing anything else. I am owned by 2 dogs - Emmi, a French Bulldog & MayDay (May for short, who I found in the middle of a road during rush hour traffic, hence her name), and 3 cats – Eve, Little Guy, & Charlie. Away from the hospital, I enjoy horseback riding, cooking, and spending time with my family & friends.

Client/Patient Care Coordinator

Dawn

Dawn at Wheaton Animal Clinic

I have been with Animal Medical Clinic of Wheaton for the better part of 25 years. A majority of that time was spent as a technician and I now serve as our Client Support Liaison. What that means is if you have either a general pet question or something specifically related to your pet’s medical condition, that you can give me a call for help. If I don’t know the answer to your question, I am able to consult with your pet’s doctor and get an answer to you; usually far quicker than waiting for a doctor to have the time to call. While I enjoy animals of all species, I am partial to dogs, especially the mutts! When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and our 2 dogs, going to dog parks, photography, kayaking, and hiking through the woods.

Ashley at Wheaton Animal Clinic

I knew I would work with animals ever since I was a little kid, and I began down that career path in 2005. I started out working at a fast-paced pet daycare and boarding facility, followed by working at a high quality animal hospital. I joined the Animal Medical Clinic of Wheaton’s team in 2013 as a technician. My favorite parts of working here are practicing excellent patient care and seeing a variety of exotic animals. I also have a special interest in surgery, periodontal therapy and radiology. My husband and I have a perfect little boy, two active dogs & three playful cats – our pets are all boys and all rescues! In the future, my goal is to have a small hobby farm with chickens, goats, and horses. I enjoy spending my free time hiking, reading and baking.

Cindy

Ashley at Wheaton Animal Clinic

I joined Animal Medical Clinic of Wheaton in November 2016. I have had a passion for helping animals ever since I was a little girl. Growing up, my father and I would rehabilitate injured strays and wildlife from around our neighborhood. I have officially been in the veterinary field for almost 11 years now, and I can honestly say, not one single day has been wasted. One of my favorite parts of veterinary care is rehabilitating animals after an illness, injury or surgery. The staff here at AMC shares in my love of caring for each and every animal, regardless of species, age or temperament. I am proud to be a part of this veterinary family.

I am a certified veterinary technician with experience in the field since 2009. I graduated from the Vet Tech Institute at Fox College in 2010, earning my associates degree in veterinary sciences; passing the boards is how I received my certification. I have a special place in my heart for kitties and I share my home with my husband Chevy, my 2 kitties Cooper-a munchkin, and Izzy- a manx. In my spare time, I love to hula hoop, read, and participate in aerial acrobatics.

Traci

Ever since I was young, I was always fascinated with science, and soon had an interest in the veterinary field. I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Zoology, and through on the job training, started my career as a veterinary technician in 1999. Since then, I have experience working in emergency clinics, large animal practices and exotics before coming to AMC Wheaton in 2015. I have always found working with animals to be very rewarding, especially seeing very ill patients able to go home when well. When I am not at AMC, I enjoy spending time with my 3 very active children, my husband and my 2 kitties, Precious and Misty.
